Cheryl A. Hickmon Scholarship Award
The Hartford Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is proud to announce the Cheryl A. Hickmon Scholarship Application/Competition for talented, graduating high school African-American female students in the Greater Hartford region. This is an incredible opportunity for young women to pursue higher education with financial support that makes a difference.
For over 40 years, the Hartford Alumnae Chapter has championed the academic and leadership potential of young women in our community. Through our renewable scholarships, we have awarded nearly $400,000 to more than 135 deserving students. These scholarships have been made possible thanks to the generous support from our annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Breakfast, corporate sponsors, and dedicated community members.
This scholarship is a tribute to the legacy of Cheryl A. Hickmon, celebrating excellence and commitment to community service.
