The Hartford Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. presents the 39th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Breakfast featuring Keynote speaker Rev. Dr. Cheryl Townsend Gilkes, Professor Emerita of African-American Studies and Sociology at Colby College. We are returning to the Connecticut Convention Center on Monday, January 15, 2024, with a 9:00 am start time. This year’s event offers two ticket options: in-person for $65.00 and virtual (view-only access) for $45.00.

This annual scholarship breakfast raises funds in support of the Hartford Alumnae Chapter’s renewable scholarship fund for young women of African descent throughout the Greater Hartford area. With the support of the community and our corporate sponsors, we have awarded over 155 renewable scholarships. Given the rising costs of education, our focus on this effort is even more critical.
